Why do I need to change my password when I first login?
To increase the security of your password, you will be prompted to
change the password issued to you upon registration, to one of your
choice. This ensures complete security as the only person to know
the password is you.
How do I keep my password secure?
As a user of Uniteller you have an important role in maintaining the security of your account information, by keeping your member number and password confidential. Some security measures you should take include:
- Change your password regularly.
- Choose a password that is hard for others to guess. Do not select any combination that is easy to remember or logical to guess.
- Do not leave our computer unattended while you have a Uniteller session open.
- Log off from Uniteller once you have finished a session. This is to ensure that anyone using the computer after you cannot see your account information.
- Notify Unicredit immediately if you believe an unauthorised person has attempted to access you account information.
- Exercise reasonable care to prevent unauthorised access to the computer you use for accessing Uniteller.
- Ensure you are running up to date virus software on your computer at all times.
There have been several recent incidents where bank customers have been requested to login to false websites or provide their passwords under the banner of 'revised security conditions'. These are fraudulent attempts to obtain your password.
Unicredit will never request that your password be communicated to us in any form and we recommend that you change your password regularly. Similarly, any changes to the web address or access sites will only ever be communicated via our authorised web site or other formal communication.
We remind members to never respond to requests to:
* Disclose your password to a person contacting you in person or by telephone.
* Disclose your password to a person contacting you by email.
* Login to any unauthorised web site addresses. Make sure you only login to
our authorised site address - www.unicredit.com.au.
What happens if I forget my password?
If you have forgotten your password, simply call Unicredit on 08 9389 1011 and request a Member Service Officer to reset the password. You may be asked a series of questions in order to verify your identity for security purposes.
After receiving your new access password, simply go to the Uniteller login page and enter your member number and allocated password. You will have three days from when you receive your password to log in to Uniteller before the new password expires. If this happens, you must request Uniteller to issue you another password.
After entering your member number and reset password, you will then
be required to accept the Terms and Conditions and asked to change
your password.
Can I change my password?
You can change your password at any time and as frequently as you
like. Simply select the 'Change Password' option from the 'Personal'
menu. You will need to enter your existing password and the new password
you would like to use.
What format should I make my password?
Your Uniteller password should be a minimum of six (6) characters
and a maximum of eight (8) characters and can be made up of a either
alpha and numeric characters or a combination of both.
What should I do if I become locked out from my account?
If you have incorrectly entered your password 3 times, on the third attempt you will be locked out of the system and access to Uniteller will be blocked for 30 minutes.
If you cannot remember your password after this period, you will
need to contact Unicredit and request a Member Service Officer to
reset your password.
What happens when I am entering my correct password but I get a message saying my password has been rejected?
Your Uniteller password is case sensitive. Try to re-enter your password again while ensuring that each character is formatted correctly.
Do I have to use the crypto keypad to enter my password every time I log on to Uniteller?
Yes, the crypto keypad is now a set security feature and can not be removed.
The crypto keypad is a secure keypad for password entry which uses an enhanced encryption function to prevent passwords being compromised by key logger or HTTP request loggers.
How do I login to Uniteller if I have misplaced my security tokens?
You will be unable to login to Uniteller if you have misplaced your security tokens.
Simply contact Unicredit during business hours on (08) 9389 1011 and a Member Service Officer will be able to re-issue you with the misplaced security tokens.
If I have registered for security tokens and do not wish to use them any more, can I remove them?
You can remove security tokens from your Uniteller account by either visiting one of our branches or sending the request in writing via post, email or fax (if sending your request by either fax or email, you must hold a Email/Fax indemnity password for your membership).
Do I have to register for a ‘Pay Anyone’ password?
If you are an existing Uniteller user, you do not have to use the ‘Pay Anyone’ feature.
However if you wish to register for ‘Pay Anyone’ as an additional security feature to protect your membership, then visit any Unicredit branch or call (08) 9389 1011 to have a password allocated to you.
All new Uniteller users will have a ‘Pay Anyone’ password issued to them upon registration.
Before using the ‘Pay Anyone’ feature to make internal or external transfers, you will need to change the allocated password using the option under the ‘Personal’ menu.
